I was born in Hong Kong and moved to the United Kingdom in 1970. I have been travelling around the world ever since, painting and exhibiting while living in New Zealand, Sudan, Tanzania, Pakistan, South Korea, Egypt and Bosnia & Herzegovina. I am now living in London with my family.
I studied traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy in Hong Kong which I developed further during four years in Korea. I then studied art and design in London. My work ranges from abstract expressionistic to quirky towns and citiescapes, by using various mediums to created textures surfaces. Mixing both contemporary and traditional methods and styles, combining painting and collage often results in unusual interpretations of familiar subjects.
I have held solo exhibition in Seoul, Cairo, Alexandria, Sarajevo, Florida and New York. I also exhibited in London at the Mall Gallery, Alexander Llewellyn Gallery, Chelsea Town Hall, Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Banqueting House, Orleans House Gallery. Stable Gallery, Richmond Town Hall and Kingston Museum. I am now regularly showing my works at the Contemporary Art Fairs in Newbury, Windsor and Surrey.
